Scripture: The Bible (Scripture) was written by man but inspired by God: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work," 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV).
God: God exists in three personages (Trinity), the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though the Trinity of God is distinctive in personage, they are united in their divine nature: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one," Deuteronomy 6:4 (NIV).
Man: Humanity is a unique part of creation that reflects the image of God: "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them," Genesis 1:27 (NIV).
Sin: When one willfully does an act against the will of God (stealing, lying, etc.) they sin. This sin keeps us separate from God: "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you..." Isaiah 59:2 (NIV).
Uniqueness of Jesus: Jesus is God in human form, making him fully human and fully God: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth," John 4:1-2; 14 (NIV).
Salvation: We are need of salvation because of our sins, but we cannot save ourselves. Jesus, through his death on the cross, offers himself as a sacrifice. Believing in him as Lord and savior is the only way to be forgiven of our sins, and to be made right with God: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us... For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast," Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV).
